CAD is a nonprofit member organization focused on the promotion, preservation, and protection of the civil rights, social, cultural, health, educational and economic well-being of the Deaf.  The acquisition and use of American Sign Language is an essential human right.  The Association practices an environment that is free of audism, racism, sexism, linguicism, and other forms of discrimination.
